“When the child was a child, it walked with arms hanging, wanted the stream to be a river and the river a torrent and this puddle the sea…/…it did not know it was a child, everything for it was filled with life and all life was one…/…it didn’t have an opinion about a thing, had no habits … When the child was a child, it hurled a stick like a lance into a tree, and it’s still quivering there today.”
Peter Handke

All dance is a promise that does not claim to change the order of things. It puts a fragile, free act into an instant, traces in the air the imaginary paths that allow us to invent those of our real world.
Two bodies, two breaths, two beings. Two allies in life and the journey of art, for over twenty years. Aurélian dances and Eric plays the flute. They set out in search of that childhood state that Peter Handke expresses so well in his poem, where everything is discovered and lived in the moment, where everything is possible, so as to continue believing that imaginary paths invent those of our real world, that invented languages explain our intimate truths, that reality and poetry are one and the same.

The current brutal, violent state of the world gives us only one choice today, to find again the source of belief that beauty can still be, for these two and for others, an act of freedom that defies chaos through dance, through music, through live drawing.
