Guillem Jiménez
With movement as the axis of all his artistic work, Guillem Jiménez works with the choreography of bodies, videos and other media. He studied at the Conservatorio Superior de Danza de Barcelona while at the same time developing his own line of work. His project laSADCUM includes the productions THE UNCANNY VALLEY’ (2019), which earned an artistic residency at La Caldera in the Certamen Coreográfico de Madrid, ‘THE LESSON’ (2020) which won the jury prize at the Festival 10 Sentidos and his own piece ‘ACLUCALLS’ (2022) which will be premierd at the Teatro del CCCB. His solo work investigates the different languages of choreography and of his own body: ‘DANCE LESSON’ (2018 - 2020), ‘Duquela’ (2018) and the solo in progress ’TWINK’ (2022). His work has been shown at venues such as La Casa Encendida, Museo Guggenheim Bilbao, Espacio Inestable, MAC Festival, Sala Ars, TKM Room / Maricas Maricas, la Fundación Mies van der Rohe and the Centro Cultural Conde Duque. He has taken part in collaborative processes with artists and institutions such as Reece Cox, JazzBetween, BlueProject Foundation, Pedro Torres el Amor Projects, Amalia S. de Nieves and Albert Riera, and as a performer he has worked with creators such as Mar Aguiló, Candela Capitán, Javier Guerrero, Aimar Pérez Galí, Claudia Mirambell, Hanna Tervonen and Ester Guntín.
