Mariantònia Oliver
Choreographer, dancer and arts manager. In 1985, she and María Muñoz set up the professional contemporary dance group La Dux and in 1988 she founded her own group, with the piece Ocho.
For nearly twenty years she lived and worked in Barcelona, where she took part in numerous projects both as a performer, for example with Mark Tompkins and Tomás Aragay, and as a creator with Juan Márquez and Jordà Ferrer.
Since 2000 she has been based in Mallorca, where she has developed her career as a choreographer and an interest in the socially transformative aspect of the performing arts. Highlights have been her projects Las Muchas and Las Muchísimas, on which she works with older non-professionals.
She has also set up and manages the arts centre EIMA in María de la Salud, as well as La Impossible, a small training centre for dancers in Palma, where she also teaches.
