Àngels Margarit
Since the early 1980s she has dedicated herself to dance in the different roles of, dancer, choreographer and teacher, so that these three aspects have fed into each other to give her a broader, more rounded experience of body and movement as essential material for creative research.

Àngels Margarit created Mudances in 1985, the piece that would also give its name to her company Àngels Margarit/cia Mudances, with which she has created an extensive performance repertoire as well as projects and creations in other contexts and formats such as site specific pieces, video dance, pieces for urban spaces, instalations, new media research, improvisations and collaborations with other artists.

From the start, her pieces have been coproduced and performed at festivals and in programmes all over the world. In the course of her career she has received many prizes, such as the Grand Prix du Concours Chorégraphique de Bagnolet for Kolbebasar (France, 1988), the Premi Nacional de Dansa de Catalunya for Mudances (1986), Atzavara (1991), Tèrbola (1999) and the Premi Ciutat de Barcelona d’Arts Escèniques for Corol·la (1993).
