La Taimada was set up in 2004. They won a grant for the creation of Kametta; Silencio was a co-production with Teatro Cal Bolet; and another grant from ConCa for (M)alicia. They have had residencies at L’Estruch (Sabadell) and
La Caldera (Barcelona) for (M)alicia a través de una Pasantía de Las Malqueridas, Creaciones al Límite, and a residency at the Barceloneta Civic Centre for Postmalicia.
The company was selected in the International Window for Catalan Dance (FID) as part of IPAM in the Grec Festival de Barcelona 2013 for Crash. The same piece was chosen to open Temporada 2013-14 in the Que dansi qui vulgui (Let anyone dance who wants to) feature at the Mercat de les Flors in Barcelona. They ended 2014 with a residency at the Compañia Nacional de Danza in Madrid.
In 2015 they earned a residency at Dantzagunea as part of the SORTUTAKOAK 7 programme in Donasti for Cuando el Cuerpo Habla.
They are currently working on ideas for the creation of a new production: El Vuit Dia/El Octavo Día/The Eighth Day in a residency at
La Caldera, Les Corts. They are working on a performance format dealing with the beauty and sinister nature of violence.
