She was born in Cuba, and studied at the Conservatorio Superior de Música Manuel Castillo in Seville, specialising in the Viola da Gamba, at the Escuela Nacional de Arte in Havana and at the Conservatorio de Música Juan Crisóstomo Arriaga in Bilbao. As well as founding Ensemble Recondita Armonia, she has participated in numerous concerts at festivals in countries all over the world, under the direction of such prestigious names as Shalev Ad-El, Rinaldo Alessandrini, Rio Terakado, Walter Reiter, Claudio Abbado and Jordi Savall. She collaborates with groups such as La Chimera, L'Arpeggiata, Ars Longa, Orpheon Consort, La Orquesta Nacional de España, Capella de Ministrers, Ensemble Elyma, Camerata Iberia, Ensemble Durendal Nova Lux Ensemble, Le Tendre Amour and the Orquesta Barroca de Sevilla.
