Jorge Morata
He was born in Valencia, and studied at the Conservatorio Superior de Música in Navarra. He studied vocal technique and repertoire with Carlos Chausson, and took masterclasses with figures such as Rockwell Blake, Ricardo Visus, Raúl Jiménez and Ana Luisa Chova. He has worked with the Opera Jove de Catalunya, the Orquesta Sinfónica of Navarra, Matin Gester and Jordi Bernácer, and with stage directors of the stature of Adrián Schvazrstein, Pablo Ramos, Pep Ricart and Carlos Harmuch. He is the founder of Ensemble Recondita Armonía along with the viola da gamba player Lixsania Fernández, and he collaborates as a tenor soloist with groups such as La Chimera (Eduardo Egüez), Le Parlement de Musique (Martin Gester), Le Tendre Amour (Esteban Mazer and Katy Elkin), and the Nova Lux Ensemble. He has been awarded the Premio Internazionale Arca d'Oro Giovani Talenti.
