Cecilia Colacrai
Choreographer, dancer and teacher of contemporary dance, resident in Barcelona since 2002. She is part of the directive board of the APDC (Assoc. de professionals de la dansa de Catalunya) and she is a member of La Caldera Les Corts.
Since 1995 she’s interested in deepening her experience in the areas of contemporary dance, improvisation, choreographic composition and other disciplines related to movement and to the performing arts.
She is currently working independently with different artists such as Anna Rubirola and Mireia de Querol, forming the Collective Big Bouncers, with which she also manages the space for creation La Visiva; Jorge Albuerne, creating the dance-circus performances “Gira” and “Ultimo baile”; Joao Lima and Anna Rubirola creating the performance “Morder la Lengua”; the Group LaBolsa (Iirs Heitzinger, Natalia Jimenez, Anna Rubirola, Federica Porello, Mireia de Querol, Xavi Moreno, Cecilia Colacrai), and Thomas Hauert collaborating in the creation of “The Measure of disorder”, which premiered in July 2015 at the Festival Grec, in Barcelona.
She presented her own works, “Sola?” (2005) and “La incorruptible belleza de la distancia” (2011), in various festivals in Spain, France, Italy, Mexico, Cuba and Argentina.
She has been collaborating with different choreographers such as: Alexis Eupierre, Montse Colomé, Toni Mira and Cia. Nats Nus (Barcelona); Cia. Emmanuel Grivet (France);GrupoRepública Cênica (Brazil); Gabriela Solini (Arg?Spa), espai Tragant?Dansa, espai for creation LaCaldera.
She is part of various video-dance projects, lead by the Assoc. Cultural Finmatun together with Toni Mira, in Brians’ Prison.
Since 2009 she is part of the project Sudansa (dance in schools). She gives classes of contemporary dance and improvisation in Argentina, since 1997, in Barcelona, since 2002, and in other European and Latin-American cities.
